Your paint is new or close to perfect. We do a paint enhancement to clean up light haze, then coat. This is most new vehicles and well-kept used ones.
Your paint has swirls, scratches, or wash marks. We run a full 2-step correction first, then coat. Coatings lock in whatever is underneath, so correcting first is the only way to get the finish you actually want.

Ceramic coatings are only worth it on new vehicles.
New cars hold their showroom finish longer with a coating, but older cars get just as much out of it. With the right prep, a coating brings tired paint back and makes an older car far easier to keep clean.
A coated vehicle never needs washing.
A coating makes washing easier, not unnecessary. Dirt builds up slower and comes off faster. You still wash it, just with a lot less effort.
A ceramic coating lasts forever.
Coatings last far longer than wax, but they do not last forever. Ours carry 5-year and 9-year guarantees. The more often you wash it, the longer it lasts.
The questions we get asked most.
No. Coatings cure into a hard, glossy surface, but they do not heal. That is paint protection film. Paint needs correcting before we coat, because a coating will not fix deep scratches or dents and it will not stop rock chips.
Standard carries a 5-year guarantee and Reserve carries a 9-year guarantee. How long it really lasts comes down to how the car is stored, driven, and washed. Washing it properly is the biggest factor.
For the first week, keep it out of the rain where you can and stay out of automatic washes. After that, hand wash with the right products. Your Gtechniq Maintenance Kit has everything you need and we walk you through it at pickup.
